Haskwell Wexler, a filmmaker and multiple Oscar-winning cinematographer, was greatly disturbed by Hershman’s sudden but preventable death. He decided to share this story in “Who Needs Sleep” to show how harmful it is to work long hours and with sleep deprivation.
