HC431 Full Face Mask Headgear

This headgear is designed to work with the HC431 CPAP mask.  In order for the mask to work optimally, it needs to be comfortably secured with this headgear. 

Patients that are suffering from obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) have difficulties getting adequate restful sleep due to breathing problem while sleeping.  These breathing problems are caused by the collapse of the patient’s airway when they are sleeping, resulting in interruptions in breathing, known as apneas, that cause the patient to awaken repeatedly.  An effective sleep therapy involves applying continuous positive air pressure (CPAP) to the airway to keep the airway from collapsing.  Patients can then breathe more normally and sleep better.

CPAP is applied by the HC431 mask interface through the leak-free seal that it forms.  The headgear keeps the mask interface secure and maintains the seal for proper CPAP delivery.  Make sure your headgear is always in good working order.

To get the most out of your HC431 mask, make sure to replace the headgear if it becomes damaged.  The HC431 is able to deliver effective sleep therapy because it is held comfortably and securely in place with this headgear, and can maintain a stable seal throughout the night.  Damaged headgear may not provide the best support for the mask interface and compromise the quality of your therapy.
