These are replacement Reusable Black Foam Filters for the Tranquility 7100 Plus CPAP machine.  These filters remove dust and other airborne particles in the air before it goes into your Tranquility 7100 Plus CPAP machine.

Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) is a form of therapy prescribed to patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) to help them sleep better.   OSA patients have difficulties sleeping due to their airway muscles collapsing during sleep and obstructing their breathing, which causes the patient to awaken.  CPAP therapy can use the positive airway pressure to prevent the patient’s airway from collapsing.  This allows the patient to breath normally during sleep, and thus be able to sleep better.

CPAP therapy utilizes a CPAP machine, which takes ambient to create the positive air pressure.  Ambient air contains dust and other particles.   These black foam filters prevent the particles in ambient air from getting into the air patients breathe during therapy and also from contaminating the CPAP machine.

Keeping your filters in good condition not only provides you with clean air every night, but also keeps your machine working properly.

These black reusable filters last for three months with regular cleaning. It is also recommended that you replace damaged or worn out filters right away to keep your CPAP machine in good working condition.

Disposable Fine White Filters (5 Pack):
These are the Disposable White Fine Filters for Tranquility 7100 Plus CPAP machine.  It works in conjunction with the reusable foam filter.  This white filter is more fine and removes smaller particles. 

Air filtration is important for keeping dust and other fine particles out of the Tranquility 7100 Plus CPAP machine and consequently out of your respiratory system.  Breathing airborne particulates during CPAP therapy can cause irritations and other health issues.  Dust can also accumulate inside the CPAP machine and eventually damage it.

Make sure to replace the disposable filter when it become dirty.  Regularly inspect your filter to see if it needs replacing.
