This is the replacement headgear to be used with the ComfortGel Full Face Mask by Philips Respironics.

surface that is less likely to cause irritations or abrasions to
the skin.
· This durable headgear can be washed repeatedly without fraying,
curling, shedding, or other forms of degradation.
This headgear supports and stabilizes the ComfortGel mask, ensuring the maximum effectiveness of your sleep therapy. Damaged headgear may not fully stabilize the mask nor help maintain a secure seal during sleep. Thus, you must replace damaged headgear so that your sleep therapy is not compromised.
A full face mask is typically used in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), a serious sleep disorder that prevents patients from getting quality sleep. The airway muscles of these patients collapse during sleep, interrupting breathing and disrupting a peaceful slumber. An effective form of treatment involves the application of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) to the patient’s airways. The positive airway pressure prevents the airways from collapsing, allowing the patient to breath and sleep normally.
CPAP is typically delivered to the patient through the mask interface, which must remain stable and secure while the patient sleeps. Crucial to the effectiveness of the ComfortGel mask interface is the headgear, which comfortably holds the mask in place so that you can get the most from your sleep therapy.
