Reusable Filters

Reusable CPAP filters remove airborne particles from the air before they can enter the CPAP machine and your respiratory system.  Reusable filters are sometimes referred to as black filters.   It is recommended to wash reusable filters once a week.  Though these filters can be used over and over again, always inspect the filter for damage and wear so no particulates can make their way into your CPAP machine or into your airways.

Remember to regularly wash and clean your filter.  Carefully inspect your filter every time to make sure that it is not damaged or worn.

Here’s a quick tip: keep a calendar by your CPAP machine and mark the filter cleaning and replacement date schedules. This will surely help you keep track of and remember your CPAP maintenance tasks.  Reusable filters need to be washed weekly and need to be replaced every six months.
